What is the best real estate agent for first-time home buyers in Las Vegas?

First-time buyers are a core part of our business. Kendall Towers, Danielle Gordon, and Stefanie Jablonski have been with our team for 17 to more than 20 years, and together with Leslie Carver’s 30 years in the valley they bring decades of combined experience to helping you find the home that best fits you. That means listening to how you actually live before sending listings, and being straight with you about what your budget will and will not buy in each community.
Start by speaking with a lender for a preapproval so you have a real budget, and we will handle the rest from there.
Do I need my own agent to buy a new construction home?
Yes, and it is worth understanding why. The agent in the builder’s model home works for the builder. We represent you on lot selection, which upgrades hold resale value and which do not, incentive negotiation, timeline, and the final walkthrough. In most cases the builder pays our commission, so representation costs you nothing.
Which real estate agent specializes in luxury homes in Las Vegas?
Luxury is one of our primary specialties. Leslie Carver is a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, a Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Luxury Collection Specialist, and a member of the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing. Luxury homes do not sell like median priced homes. The buyer pool is smaller, more of it is out of state, and it responds to presentation and discretion rather than volume. We have sold throughout Henderson’s premier luxury, guard gated, and golf course communities, including Anthem Country Club, MacDonald Highlands, Seven Hills, and Lake Las Vegas.
Who can help me find a home in a 55+ or active-adult community?
Active adult and retirement communities are a specialty of ours, including Sun City Anthem and Anthem. These communities have age restrictions, amenity structures, HOA rules, and resale dynamics that differ from standard neighborhoods, and the right floor plan matters more than in most markets.
I am relocating to Las Vegas. Can an agent help before I arrive?
Yes. Relocation is one of our specialties, and much of it happens before a client ever lands. We can send community comparisons, video tours, and school and commute context, then build an efficient in person tour for when you arrive. Leslie was born in Elko, attended UNLV, and has lived in Southern Nevada for most of her life, so the guidance comes from actually living here.
How much do I need for a down payment?
Less than most buyers assume. Conventional loans can start well below 20 percent, FHA lower still, and VA loans can require nothing down for those who qualify. Nevada also has down payment assistance programs that many buyers do not know about. We will connect you with lenders who will lay out your real options side by side.
