What is it Really Like Living in ANTHEM COUNTRY CLUB Henderson, NV?
Thinking of upgrading your lifestyle? What if I told you Anthem Country Club offers more than just a home? Let’s dive into what it’s really like living here.
One of the things I love about living in Anthem Country Club is coming home and driving through the beautiful entrance. With the waterfalls, the golf course and mountain views in the background. It feels like you’re entering a private oasis and that you are not even in Las Vegas. Sometimes when I am leaving the community I look back in the mirror and just love the view of the golf course and mountains.
The community is guard-gated access. We have our resident lane and at busy times there is a secondary flex lane. Guests must be cleared at the gate before coming through.
It’s not just about security—it’s the whole lifestyle here. We’ve got a golf course, pickleball courts, a beautiful clubhouse, our fitness center, and pool. We are social members, so we enjoy all of the activities. For golfers, there is golf membership. We have lots of friends that are golfing members and have formed lifelong friendships with the other golfers here. You really don’t have to leave the community if you don’t want to. Honestly, I can’t imagine living anywhere else. It is a great place for families to meet other neighbors with kids in the community. When we first moved into the neighborhood we moved onto Plum Hollow. Plum Hollow is Halloween Street in our neighborhood. The whole community pretty much goes to this area for trick treating. It was crazy. We had thousands of kids come to our home. There were people driving their golf carts and kids lined up. At one point, I looked down and we had kids lined up waiting down the street to get candy. It was so much fun. It was great for our kids. They invited their friends and had a blast. My youngest son Sammy met his friends in the community.
One of the unique things about Anthem Country Club is our 3-mile loop. The individual neighborhoods are centered around the main Anthem Country Club Circle. It is a nice way to enjoy the outdoors and get the dogs (as well as us) some exercise! The views are beautiful, and we often see friends and neighbors walking.
One of the coolest things about Anthem Country Club is how the whole community is designed with natural reserves around that create a buffer between the homes. The open space provides natural beauty so many of the homes have terrific views.
After our walks, we often sit in our backyard drinking coffee while enjoying our view. Many of the homes here have views of the golf course, the strip or mountain views. The sunsets are amazing from our rear yard. My husband loves taking pictures of sunsets! It is one of those things that makes living here feel so special.
As a social member, we enjoy eating at the clubhouse. They often have special themed dinners and evenings such as the Halloween bash and National pasta day. There are fun nights. As a social member we must spend at least $600 every 6 months on food. What we usually end up doing is having our family enjoy a big dinner meal there every other month. There are fun events like the chili cook off. I enjoy Bunco with the ladies. It is only for women so a nice way to meet other ladies in the community. You can be as involved as you want, or just enjoy your own space.
Several of our friends play pickleball here. We have beautiful pickleball courts, and there’s always a group of people playing. You’d be surprised how social and competitive it gets. There are regular pickleball tournaments and mixers. There are also beginner trainers and help. It’s a fantastic way to meet neighbors and make new friends in the community. Pickleball has become a big part of the social scene here, and there’s always something going on around the courts.
The championship golf course is not only beautiful. I know a lot of people will come here to take pictures of their kids or family near the club house. We have regular tournaments throughout the year, which bring the community. I have sponsored a hole with another real agent at several of the golf tournaments. It is so much fun and my friends that golf love it!
I remember when the community was under construction, and we looked at the models. They were amazing and the community was unlike anything else at the time. At the time we moved to the Foothills in the Southern Highlands. We always watched the area and finally moved into the community when our oldest son started high school so our sons could attend Coronado High School. It was a great experience for our sons while in high school.
We call Anthem the “bubble” because everything is close by. Nearby are some of our favorite restaurants such as Prosecco Italian Osteria, Rebellion pizza and I love Sushi.
Just outside of Anthem there are lots of restaurants down Eastern Avenue. The Saint Rose Square Shopping center with Costco and other shopping which is conveniently located nearby.
The District is a short distance away, offering shopping such as Lululemon, Anthropologie and REI. My husband and I will do date night at Echo and Rig. The weekly Farmers market is fun with small businesses and shops. Green Valley Ranch Station is connected to the District so we will go early and walk around the shops and then enjoy dinner and a movie. We love Hank’s, Pizza Rock and Blue-Ribbon Sushi Bar.
You get the best of both worlds. Living in Anthem, you can enjoy the bubble of the serene, resort-style life—golf, clubhouse dining, the community events—but whenever you want to experience the vibrancy of Vegas, it’s right there. We enjoy some of the terrific restaurants on the strip and seeing a Raiders or Vegas Golden Knights game.
Surprisingly, traffic flow within the community is really smooth. The streets are wide and well-planned, so even during busier times, like weekends or when there’s a big community event, you don’t feel congested. The guard-gated entrances are efficient too, so visitors get through without causing much backup.
Anthem is highly desirable, and buyers watch for homes to come available in the area. It is a unique neighborhood. We truly feel grateful to live in this community. Once we moved into the community, we found our quality of life really improved. We love it here! If you are considering Anthem Country Club, please contact us. I would love to take you to the club house and show you around.
