Why Anthem is the BEST PLACE to Live in Henderson
With a homeowner satisfaction rate soaring above 95%, Anthem isn’t just a good place to live; it’s the best.
I live in Anthem and love the community. Anthem is a master planned community developed by Del Webb Corporation in 1997. We moved our family to Anthem years ago so that our sons could attend schools in the area. I love the community feel. We lovingly call the Anthem area the “Anthem bubble” because we enjoy living in the bubble!
Anthem is a large community with has more than 15,000 homes and over 5,000 acres. There are several subdivisions including Anthem Country Club, Anthem Highlands, Coventry Homes at Anthem, Sun City Anthem and Solera. Anthem is a very family friendly community with many ways to enjoy the outdoors including walking trails, parks and golfing.
Nearby walking trails include Anthem East Trail loop and McCullough Hills Trails near Anthem Hills Park. We enjoy taking our dogs, Loki and Thor for a hike on the trails. It is a great way to enjoy the views of the mountains while getting fresh air and exercise.
The Anthem Hills Park is a 53-acre that is quietly located near Del Webb middle school and Coventry at Anthem. This park is huge! It has two large fields, a skate park, basketball courts and playgrounds. The skate park is a fun area for skaters and BMXers to enjoy. Growing up my sons enjoyed having a place to hone their skating skills. It is great for families, kids and dogs. The large fields are great for walking dogs and my youngest had soccer practice on the field years ago. It was a terrific way to spend the morning watching the team and enjoying the views. It doesn’t feel like you are in Las Vegas. There is a tunnel that leads to another field and there are several walking and hiking trails that lead off from the park.
There are two golf courses within Anthem. The Revere Golf Club is open to public and sits within the age restricted community of Sun City Anthem. The Revere presents a blend of rugged landscape and beautiful greenery. Many of the homes in Sun City Anthem have golf views and homeowners have access to discounts and special golf times at the club.
The private Anthem Country Club golf course is located within the Guard Gated community of Anthem Country Club. Golf Members have access to a world-class 18-hole golf course.
Variety of Homes
Anthem is a desirable and Buyers look to move into the area for the schools, just like we did years ago. Homes usually sell quickly in the area as there is demand for buyers looking to move into Anthem. Many homes sell quickly and overall, there is low supply within the community.
The guard Gated Anthem Country Club offers custom homes and semi-custom homes built by Dell Web and Pulte. The semi-custom homes here range from 1260 square feet to slightly over 5000 sq feet and the custom homes are up to 17,000 sq feet.
I live in Anthem Country Club and love the lifestyle. I enjoy walking the 3-mile loop with my dogs. The community is beautiful, and I love the views while getting exercise! It’s a terrific place to meet friends and enjoy the many social events and activities.
The two age restricted communities of Sun City Anthem and Solera offer activities and ways to connect for clients that are 55 years and older. There are club houses, fitness centers, pools, spas, tennis and pickleballs Courts and even a full-size theatre. Sun City Anthem has 33 different home models ranging from slightly over 1,080 square feet to just over 3,000 square feet.
Other terrific communities include Anthem Highlands and Coventry at Anthem!
Anthem has terrific Amenities and Lifestyle.
Let’s start with food. Two of our favorite restaurants are in Anthem Village. Food is a very important topic in my family, specifically pizza which is my husband’s absolute favorite food. In fact, my husband loves pizza so much that he uses pizza emoji instead of the happy face emoji. At Christmas he got multiple pairs of pizza socks from family and friends! We have pizza probably at least a couple of times a month. Rebellion pizza is in the Anthem Village shopping center. We like spicy pepperoni pizza and Rebellion Knots. Both have Mike’s hot honey! We also love Settebello Pizza located in the district. Another favorite restaurant of ours also located in Anthem Village Cener is Prosecco Italian Osteria. We love this little hole in the wall, as it has a family feel with traditional Italian food. You may hear the staff talking in Italian and we often see the same families there. The food is delicious, and it makes you feel at home!
Within that same shopping center is Vons and the Dog Supplies Outlet. This pet store has several locations, and this one is very convenient. We love bringing in our dogs and letting them pick out a toy. Our dogs get the most durable ones and still go through them quickly. The store has a huge selection of dog supplies and terrific customer service at reasonable prices. We joined the loyalty program and get our big dog food bag free every couple of months.
Just outside of Anthem there are lots of restaurants down Eastern Avenue. The Saint Rose Square Shopping center with Costco and other shopping which is conveniently located nearby.
The District is a short distance away, offering shopping such as Lululemon, Anthropologie, Pottery Barn and William Sonoma. Our team likes to eat at King’s Fish for lunch because we absolutely love the butter cake and the full team has dessert! The weekly Farmers market is fun with small businesses and shops. They unique finds like handmade soaps. Green Valley Ranch Station is connected so we will go early and walk the shops and then enjoy dinner and a movie. We like Echo and Rig, Hank’s Steak House and Pizza Rock. We are excited as the Blue-Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill is coming soon.
Location and Views
Anthem has a terrific location in Henderson. We enjoy traveling to California often and love that it is the first exit off the I-15 to head home. It is very convenient and just minutes away from the Las Vegas Strip but feels like a world away. We enjoy going to a nice restaurant or watching a show on the strip with the hustle and bustle but living a slower feel while in Anthem. As you drive into the Anthem master plan the beautiful entry with the large Anthem sign invites you home! The views of the natural landscape, golf course and strip are amazing!
Strong Sense of Community
Anthem is in Henderson which has a strong community feel. Henderson was named one of the 50 Best Places to Live in America by Money Magazine. Henderson is a very friendly larger town with a small-town feel. Coming from a small town in Northern Nevada, I enjoy the way Henderson has this same feel. For the most part it is the best of both worlds. You have a community feel here but it is big enough that everyone doesn’t know everything – which was a problem growing up in a truly small town. Henderson has many parades. When my son was in Coronado High School his band was in the Christmas parades in Downtown Henderson. It was fun to watch! We love living in Anthem! I am sure you will too!
