We’ve talked before about the three keys to selling your home, which are marketing, price, and staging (condition). Today, I wanted to focus on the importance of staging when selling your house.
When you live in your house, you personalize, customize, and decorate it. When you sell your home though, it’s all about depersonalization, de-customization, and removing items.

I always have clients start at the front door because buyers will form an opinion of the house within the first 30 seconds. For that reason, you want to address the outside of your home and your curb appeal. The first entry when buyers first walk up to the home is extremely important.
You want to remove personal photos and personal items, especially if you have a lot of knickknacks. Buyers won’t mind boxes in the garages, so pack things up and focus on having just a few basic items in each room. You don’t want a buyer to be distracted by personal property, you want them to be able to look past it and see the home for what it is.
Here in the Las Vegas market, we often see that homes that show well sell faster and for more money. If you have any questions about home staging (condition) or you’re thinking of buying or selling a home, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I’m always happy to help!
